# Safex Development Update: November 2, 2026

Greetings everyone!

It’s been a month since my [October 2 development update](https://forum.safex.org/t/safex-dev-update-october-2-2026/8526), and the progress across Safex continues to accelerate.

**Over 500 wallets have been generated and active since launch, with people actively transacting through the new Safex wallet.** The starter faucet has also reached **646 claims** , introducing more people to the network and getting Safex Cash and Safex Token into their hands.

Feel free to share with a friend to get anyone onto Safex today: [Safex Starter Faucet — Daniel Dabek](http://danieldabek.org/faucet)

These are exciting milestones. Making Safex accessible directly through a browser has opened the door for people to participate in the ecosystem more easily than ever.

### Safex Swap: Expanding Access

Safex Swap now supports **BTC, ETH, WETH, USDT, and USDC** over the ethereum blockchain giving people five different ways to acquire native Safex Cash (SFX) and Safex Token (SFT) directly through [safex.org](https://safex.org/).

This is an important part of building momentum around Safex. As more people create wallets, acquire coins, and transact, we’re establishing the activity and participation that will carry directly into the Marketplace.

**If you’ve been following our progress, I encourage you to visit [safex.org](http://safex.org) and swap some cryptocurrency into SFX or SFT.** Even a small amount to test around, gets the participating in the network, familiar with the wallet, and momentum for what’s coming.

### SafexCore: Advancing the Marketplace

The most significant engineering progress this month has been within SafexCore, where I’ve been developing **Hard Fork 8** , a major advancement of the Safex Marketplace protocol.

I’ve been implementing substantial improvements to marketplace account ownership, seller authorization, price-pegged transactions, inventory management, fee accounting, and purchase-linked feedback.

This work strengthens the fundamental mechanics of decentralized commerce, from protecting merchants’ control over their listings to ensuring purchases, payments, and marketplace activity are accurately enforced at the consensus level which addresses small edge cases that will ensure 100% consistency and up time.

**These advancements are bringing the next generation of the Safex Marketplace closer to reality, with a fully integrated commerce experience directly within the Safex web wallet.**

Please stay tuned, as anyone running a full node will need to update their full node software when this update is announced and published.

### Safex Wallet-Core

As part of the development outlined in October, I’ve been consolidating the advancements made through the [safex.org](http://safex.org) web wallet into the open-source [Safex Wallet-Core](https://github.com/safex/wallet-core).

Wallet-Core provides developers with the fundamental tools to build applications around the Safex blockchain, including wallet creation and recovery, address management, transaction processing, and cryptographic signing.

Development of the browser wallet has substantially expanded these capabilities beyond the original published implementation. I’m now bringing those advancements together into a standardized, reusable toolkit that can power desktop wallets, web applications, and an entirely new generation of software built around Safex.

**This also includes expanding Wallet-Core to support native marketplace transactions** , bringing us closer to accessing the full Safex Marketplace directly within the [safex.org](http://safex.org) browser wallet, future desktop applications, and other platforms built by developers throughout the ecosystem.

### Building Momentum

We’ve made tremendous progress in a single month.

More than 500 wallets. Hundreds of faucet distributions. Five assets supported by Safex Swap. Significant advances in SafexCore and the native Marketplace.

And the work continues.

**Create a wallet. Get some SFX and SFT. Mine Safex. Bring someone new into the ecosystem.**

It is now incredibly easy to introduce someone to Safex. Just scan their wallet’s QR code and send them some coins directly from your phone. 😃

The technology is here to be used, and every participant contributes to the activity that makes this ecosystem grow.

I’m excited about the work coming together and look forward to sharing the next developments.

Thank you to everyone building, mining, transacting, and supporting Safex.

**Sincerely,
Daniel Dabek**

Dan, great update.

Your note on product media got me thinking it through from a design angle, so I built a working proof of concept to test the approach rather than just toss ideas around: [poc1-safex.web.app](https://poc1-safex.web.app/) (How it works has the full flow and code)

The core of it: media fees are priced by file size and paid with the listing, and uploads are only accepted against that payment’s receipt.

Files are stored write-once by SHA-256, and the URL and hash fit in the existing offer description, with no fork needed.

Wallets re-hash to verify integrity, and the same hashes work on any mirror or IPFS.

Sharing in case any of it saves you a step. Keep it up.

That’s an awesome way to lay it out, the messaging and storing of content, and the flow is very similar to what I’ve been progressing on. Frontally I am tying up all what is working well, some loose ends in the marketplace protocol and getting an initial flow for merchants into the wallet front end as the present and next steps.
