Hi all , @dallyshalla Will there be a wallet that we need to keep SEC coins in to gain the " Chile " Coin ? Many thanks .

As long as you control the private key to your Safe Exchange Coins, you’re all good.

The User Interface to Import your key and redeem Chille dividends will provided when we are farther down the road.

Currently keep them on Bittrex, is there a suggested wallet ? Thanks for your quick reply :slight_smile:

@mastequila, if you watch the first 50 seconds of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jt-KTIo4XPo

This shows you how to make a private key and public key using bitaddress.org

You can withdraw that Safe Exchange Coins to the share

Write down the Secret

Triple check that you copied it correctly and you are all set.

An education video series is coming in, where I explain about the private key and public key, how to use, situations and best practices. I think that knowing these things is paramount for all people to know.

Ok got the omni wallet running , sent a test of 100 SEC - It seems to have converted to Bitcoin ?
I can not figure out if I can change over to SEC value ?

An explanation: when you send Safe Exchange Coin it is embedded in a Bitcoin transaction, so a small amount gets sent… After some time the Safe Exchange Coins will be valid to display the balance by the software.

Clue: The fact that the bitcoin transaction appeared is an indication that the Safe Exchange Coins will be recognized soon. It will take a few more confirmations before the SEC balance will appear.

Congrats @mastequila!

Please keep your private keys handy in real life that is: on a piece of paper or somewhere not in cyber space to be sure you will have access to them always in the future.

Got it , I am fairly new to the crypto world, but a good friend that got me into this has thought me well. Print , backup , and have a 2nd backup in another location . :slight_smile: - Do I read correctly that I will need some actual Bitcoin in the OMNIWALLET if I want to transfer SEC out at some point ?

Yes that’s correct, when you want to transfer to another address you would need some bitcoin to accomplish that. The fee is approximately 0.00035 per transfer.

Thank you for all your help . Now time to accumulate SEC.

do we have any info what happened to money collected from ico? I haven’t found any info regarding address where are coins now and how much money is spent on what…?

@ivglavas it has been a year since the ICO;

I’d put together an excel to outline how funds have been spent and are being spent; to add: maidsafecoins were converted to bitcoin in May.

Just a note, if someone is interested in selling Safe Exchange Coins it is better to leave a sell order;

This way someone interested in buying could see the order and take them.
