30 Minutes Price Action

So a good strategy for finding patterns in numbers is to start counting.

In trading currencies that are liquid or at least have frequently changing prices;

  1. Jot down the price every 30 minutes.
  2. Record the change between the now price and the price you wrote 30 minutes ago.
  3. You can then start counting what is called price action.

Because the market is like a rubber band if the market had something like this:
+5 , +10, -2, +12, +8, -4, +9, … So net increase of (5 + 10 -2 + 12 + 8 -4 +9) = 38, the next set of numbers might reduce that closer to zero, and decline by some amount.

Depending on the duration of trade, this could help in setting up entries when deciding to buy or to sell.

Maybe you decided a currency is going to go down; and you noticed a consistent up tick on your price action graph, that might give you the flag to sell.
