Am mining at the moment… to a degree with some success if you are prepared to pay the power bill. I would like to top up my Safex Cash via fiat currency… specifically Aussie dollars… Can I do this? Is there a current way to make this happen?
Cheers
You cannot do so at the moment, the only other way you can top up is to swap from BTC to SFX/SFT within the Safex.org wallet, its very simple and straightforward.
Thanks for that. It appears we are at the firsts steps with this new stage with Safex-org
I cleared up the issue with staking as an example but really, I may as well just be patient and wait for it, and this one, to be integrated into this new platform.
Thanks for the reply!
For the time being the Safex Swap feature converts Bitcoin into SFX/SFT with the purpose for use within the marketplace;
I made this concise guide on doing so; There is a small float to keep transactions moving along for the time being as I expand the software on safex.org to accommodate the features from the blockchain: so, the merchant view, and the buyers view. Staking within that
I’m really glad to hear you are mining, it’s an advantageous hashrate and still a strong block reward to do so especially ahead, since each day the number of wallets coming online is growing, and awakening the original Guard, and coming forward with the full featured application finally emerges
Thanks for that! I read through it, followed the process and have the green confirmation at this point ![]()
The bitcoin transfer indicates over a five hour wait for the fulfillment of the transfer. So at this point received so far is two thirds of what I transferred with a indicated wait time of literally 5 hours, 1 minute to completion… and I thought the banks were bad ![]()
Anyway, the main thing was it was a very easy process to follow and now its just wait and see.
I have the ‘swap ID’ which I will no doubt use at some point. I have no idea when but am sure I will find out sooner than later.
Thanks again for the heads up! ![]()
@Andrew I checked what you described, and It shows that you dropped in for an order for 0.00131350 BTC and the system received Bitcoin received 0.00087737 BTC
So since it was only partially funded by you, it 12359.550 reserved · 8255.727 committed · 8255.727 fulfilled
towards the Swap, and so you received the SFX in the partial by the end of the Swap timeout.
Which is how partially funded swaps work. If you wanted it within the confirmation time of the Bitcoin transfer, you would have wanted to send the designated amount 0.00131350 BTC which you set when you entered the amount before initiating the swap. (would take around 10 minutes which is the usual case)
Well, it worked as designed, and accommodated a partial funding so cool ![]()
Thanks, so the remaining Bitcoin gets reversed back to its origin?
I haven’t actually checked as yet but may be something others may want to know prior to buying direct.
And yes, I did receive the 8255.72sc… that,s a positive ![]()
(Edit 1) Just checked, it hasn’t reversed so it must be floating around somewhere?
(Edit 2) ‘you would have wanted to send the designated amount 0.00131350 BTC which you set when you entered the amount before initiating the swap’.
Am a bit lost on that last one. I did send send 0.00131350btc which did partially arrive, we know that much. The remaining BTC did not arrive in the 3 hour window… which to be fair is obviously going to be a hit-or-miss situation for some deposits (case in point)
What actually happens to the remaining BTC when it does eventually arrive?
Cheers
(Edit 3) I worked it out (Well…am pretty sure I worked it out) under the policy conditions I must send an email requesting a review to identify the remaining BTC.
This is due to the remaining BTC arriving after the 6 hour extension and could not be deposited at that late stage to fulfill the initial order? So it sits in limbo until ID’d.
Anyway I will do that and send the email now. Will let you know how I go.
