Hi all,
Does anyone know why the Market page does not load with products?
thank you!
Hi all,
Does anyone know why the Market page does not load with products?
thank you!
Hi Athan, thanks for your reply. That’s a pity. I was actually supporting this since 2019. I put 500 dollars in Safex, not about the money (I lost much more with other crypto) but this one was one of the few that I actually understood and saw some hope for developments and real use. I think it was 2021 when I first saw the first items for sale on TWM.
Daniel possibly has other things in mind but it would be good having some updates.
2021 and 2022 were actually incredibly good times proving Safex viability.
Looking forward to releasing what I was working on back then.
Don’t cling to my words, fuck yourselves for not being your own alphas and for imposing your own burdens on me for so many years.
Real true supporters like the past comment, that’s legit. Same for me I didn’t make safex for the money. I made it because I was just doing my idea of the marketplace, the whole crowds and workers really one after the other.
it seems insane to think hundreds of people don’t give a shit about this or anything for that matter, but it’s the unfortunate reality.
When we started safex back in 2015 we were decentralized hippies, i leaned towards centralized to get development done what I thought faster, just turned into a whole mess that I’ve spent a good part of this year closing and getting my time and energy back, and it has been a great summer coding completing our things once and for all.
hi Daniel! I am glad to hear from you.
I respect your comment. I invested in this marketplace idea back in 2018 and at least it was my choice.
I have tried to open TWM 1.6 with my keys but got nothing, back a couple of years ago I was also able to have a look at some products in the marketplace. Do you have any updates on this? I do not care about the money, just want to see it working :-).
Also, I would like to share with you an idea.
If you ever read this message, check your facebook, I might contact you via X as well. I have an idea and perhaps it will benefit everyone.
If you’re able to see your balance, that’s good. If you are not… let me know as soon as you get this message.
For the moment the 1.6 infrastructure will not continue to be maintained, and a replacement is on the way.
And Please feel free to DM me here, can message me, I wouldn’t mind hearing about your idea. I appreciate that you would like to share it with me. And I must add to my preface that please respect that no matter how good your idea may be, that I have a right to not have to engage in it, to talk about it, to respond at all for that matter, and any of those actions are not grounds for my character being attacked. Just saying, just in case.
In the past I’ve been very open, and it has costed me , not money. I really do love coding, I love building cool things, I love seeing motivated people. I hope you’re doing well, and you’re confident in yourself regardless of any outcome
Hello Daniel, no, I cannot see the balance even if I wait 30-60 minutes. In the past I could see the balance.
I have now migrated to Windows 11 which I really did not want to do it. I do not believe now TWM is supported by Windows 11. I raised this issue one or 2 years ago and then switched back to 10 as I had also other problems.
no problem, I sent you the message.
My guess is that 30-60 minutes is no longer sufficient time for a full sync from a fresh restore from keys. It was over an hour a couple of years ago, depending on where you are in the world, if you are using the default Safex daemon, and other factors. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was maybe a couple of hours to sync.
Did you check in the transaction history (presuming you have transaction going back over the years) during the sync, as that will show progress of the sync even before balances appear?
If you want to sync fast, have a node running and synced on the same PC you are restoring your wallet, and connect to that node when you open the wallet. It’ll be amazingly fast sync.
Thanks!! @aussiesloth has done a lot of homework…
So, that tells me we just need to up the resources.
New wallets are coming mobile, etc…
hi mate, I am in Australia like you I would say
I will be checking these days to see the amounts in Home. The good news is somehow now TWM works on Windows 11 and in History I can see the 2 past transactions from 2019 (just the migration transactions). I cannot believe 5 years already passed !
thank you very much
all good, I have waited for a couple of hours and at some point it must have synchronized.
All my funds SFS and SFT are still exactly the same as I left them and history is still there.
Marketplace does not load but we know that. all good :-).
keep in touch
We all still hope something happens.
We will see
Hi Dan,
First of all, I appreciate your candid response and the effort you’ve put into Safex over the years. It’s clear that this project has been both a passion and a challenge for you. Despite the hurdles, it’s encouraging to hear that you’ve made significant progress recently and are working on finalizing important elements.
Reflecting on your response and the context provided, I wanted to share some thoughts that might help complement your vision and ease some of the burdens you’ve shouldered.
You mentioned that 2021 and 2022 were good years for validating Safex’s viability. That’s a strong foundation to build on. Even though the marketplace is currently facing challenges (e.g., users noting the inability to load products), it’s clear that the underlying concept resonates with many. Reopening the marketplace with a phased approach could be a great way to regain momentum.
Starting with high-demand digital goods like gaming gift cards and subscriptions would reduce logistical complexity and align with crypto users’ preferences. Offering merchants flexible settlement options (e.g., USDT or a combination of USDT and SFX) could lower adoption barriers and encourage participation.
Your frustration with parts of the community is understandable, but there are still supporters who genuinely believe in Safex and its potential. Rebuilding that trust and engagement could involve:
The marketplace page issue raised by Ferdo is an example of why resolving technical challenges is critical. Ensuring the platform is stable and functional will not only address immediate frustrations but also rebuild trust among merchants and users.
If resources allow, launching a lightweight mobile app for iOS and Android could significantly improve accessibility and align with current user behavior, as mobile traffic dominates globally.
Getting SFX listed on mid-tier exchanges like KuCoin or Gate.io could boost liquidity and attract new users. Over time, once transaction volumes grow, moving toward listings on top-tier exchanges (e.g., Binance, Coinbase) could amplify Safex’s presence in the crypto space.
Your candid remarks about decentralization versus centralization highlight the balance needed to execute your vision. As Safex evolves, transitioning toward a more decentralized governance model (e.g., DAO) could distribute decision-making and reduce the burden on you personally while empowering the community.
Integrating scalable blockchain solutions like Solana or Polygon in the future could enhance transaction speed and reduce costs, aligning with the goals of decentralization and efficiency.
Dan, Safex is a unique project with proven potential, and it’s clear that your commitment remains strong. By focusing on reopening the marketplace, addressing technical stability, and reengaging the community, Safex can regain its momentum and thrive in the competitive landscape of decentralized commerce.
Looking forward to seeing what’s next and supporting Safex’s continued evolution!
Best regards,
