Just wondering if i can get some help? I installed safex wallet and moved my safex from CS, all went ok with that but my battery died during the evening and now i cant open the wallet…
Dont know if i lost my safex now and dont want to uninstall and re install just incase that disturbs things
Any ideas or fixs that are out there???
It took about 5 hours for my SafeX to arrive in my wallet from CS.
Mine took about the same but now i cant open my wallet again.

What do you mean exactly by “cant open the wallet”? Is the wallet app not opening due to some windows error, or it starts and there is some other issue?
i wouldn’t uninstall and re-install. I would wait. Mine were received within the first refresh of the wallet with no delays. After that I ungraded my wallet from 0.0.3 to 0.0.5 ajd everything is still great! Haven’t had a chance to backup but that’s all i am missing as of now

Checked task manager and it is running in there so i end task’ed it but still nothing even after reboot
I’d backup the wallet.dat (just in case), and then re-run installation (without uninstalling).
If I understood correctly, you received the coins you transfered, that part was ok. Its just that your wallet app doesnt start properly.
Thats correct. is that the safexwallet.dat file?
Check also if your antivirus is maybe causing the problem with the wallet app.
But yes, if you decide to reinstall, backup the safexwallet.dat file. You can always import it as long as you know the password you set.
In principle, you can have two backups - wallet.dat file (and the password you set for it) and your private keys, that you can export from the wallet.

Sure, go ahead. Install on the other computer and import your existing wallet there. When you start the app there will be an option to import wallet, use it and then browse to your .dat file.

Didnt work on my other computer either was able to download and set up but it tells invalid private key.
I didnt export the private keys before my battery died the other night when i transferred.

I’m thinking he lost his coins because he didn’t save his private key before his device died. That sucks. More crypto gone to the grave.
It would be easy to solve if he had his private key, true. But he still has the encrypted safexwallet.dat file that should include this info. And he knows the password.
The question is why the wallet file cannot be imported. Did it get corrupted, so now the app cant read the keys from it?
Let him first confirm the procedure he used for importing the wallet in the new installation.
