SFT - Safex Token

IMO the back-end should have as much unit tests and test coverage as possible. As for the front-end, functionals testing usually suffice most cases; about the tests that require internet connectivity: Rust and JS can easily mock the HTTP requests, so such requirement should not be obstacle. While not a big fan of TDD, I cannot imagine reliable long-term development of the back-end without unit testing.

I agree 100%

I will fit in testing on the voting application at some point this week.
And block chain idea will be more so TDD if we approve.

@uqaz Letā€™s think about it, Iā€™ll have a response after I think about it as well. Good point and questions to answer.

I was under the impression that you did not want to wait around for Maidsafe but wanted to move forward. However, if and when Maidsafe launched you would also build on it in parallel to your block chain product. Based on your statement below from the Safenetwork forum, please confirm this no longer the case and you will no longer build on the Safenetwork in the future. Thanks

"Itā€™s hard to admit when youā€™re wrong, but The distributed block chain is the evolutionary technology.

Also, Iā€™m not encouraging anybody to buy any SEC, on the contrary Iā€™d appreciate no further buying of it. Until something real is released. (if someone finds it valuable to them)"

What Iā€™m referring to here is the possibility that the system proposed by Maidsafe may not even work. And that is the reason it is not finished yet. Itā€™s nice when you have centralized the servers in digital ocean and things appear to be working, yet when you go into the wild and distribute on everyoneā€™s machines things can change, and when you put all the trimmings (anonymity, coins, payments, and donā€™t forget itā€™s all supposed to be instant; it all sounds good). On the other hand, we do know for sure that block chain systems do work 100% for distributed consensus, and decentralized control of networks, and protection of data from hackers and theft.

I am introducing another perspective when it comes to speculation around the Maidsafe project. It has now been more than 10 years of trying to get this, and already several mentions wrongly of itā€™s being manifest over the past 2 years. It is clearly highly unproven, and people can say ā€œcanā€™t you read the white paperā€. I think that you can read the white paper and see it is an interesting idea, and seasoned software developers will reply saying ā€œif they can pull it off yes itā€™s greatā€. I just took for granted that Maidsafe will finish the software, actually without question, that was my mistake. When I started to explore ā€œmaybe Iā€™m wrong about thisā€, is when I realized many holes that canā€™t be answered without the finished implementation.

For example The Bitcoin whitepaper was released with accompanying implementation that worked as described, with a few bugs. So far there is yet still no indication Maidsafe has a working implementation based on the specifications (things always look better on paper and when theyā€™re 10% of the whole specification). That is also part of an issue I believe around speculating on maidsafecoin in that, how are people able to evaluate if the software is working or even going to work. If there exists some implementation of a ā€œSAFE Networkā€ then we must evaluate it, and not jump in head first thatā€™s my opinion on the approach.

For now block chain is eliminating the server, it is decentralizing the flow of information. It is working as specified.

Regarding SEC, I am not encouraging further speculation for the reason that it makes sense to get excited about something that is working. In that sense pumping safe exchange coin is just pure speculation at this time, actually. I know personally that I have planned for an implementation based on existing systems for an anonymous contract platform, however, how can you know that it will work until itā€™s working? But if others are going to speculate of course I wonā€™t be able to stop them, though I am not promoting my work at this point until it is finished.

If SEC holders demonstrate a majority opinion to stay developing safe exchange on the Maidsafe network, then we will just be twiddling thumbs for a while. But if thatā€™s what majority of people want then that is okay too.

i read your work on safe exchange Dally and all your post so i see that if it convert to your own network its gon be good because u can do the marketing for a real coin

and i remember ur post if u can make your own network u can give some of those coin to SEC backers and get some fees

iā€™m not very familiar with the safe network except that its got people looking at it and friends talking about it. i actually begin to pay attention to ur project after you switch to blockchain because I kno about that more already.

still waiting for you to catch up Dallyā€¦ hope yur feeling much better by now and maybe we can support vote better in favor

Heya, Pushed a couple of commits that implement the correct display of results. Iā€™ve arranged for front end explanation for the voting web app to take place tomorrow night. And then video tutorials, and then weā€™re launched finally (with the proposal and voting application).

Very much unintended delay and worst possible time. When getting ill recently it had affected my life generally for the past couple of weeks, and ability to focus much on anything. However, I feel back and as good as before. My mistake for not paying attention to my environment, so sorry about that.

SEC consolidated after rally into 60 satoshi

@troya, worst time to get out of commissionā€¦ indeed I feel 1000x better than before, had a good time organizing my life and routine;

Especially if weā€™re good on what Iā€™m going to propose itā€™s going to be great for us IMO, weā€™ll get something out to the world that they can use properly (of course itā€™s going to take time; the main thing is to start; and it wonā€™t be rocket science that I can not handle) and the rewards follow if people find value in what is done;

Is it this night?

Yepp actually this conversation just now took place, because had to reschedule to today instead of yesterday (literally just 5 minutes ago got off of the google hangout regarding this task).

So, Iā€™ve gone over the HTML elements to be styled and sometime in next few-several days a css file will come back to me to neatly arrange the elements from their ā€œvanillaā€ state.

CSS sucks ā€“ I can hardly think of anything more tedious :slight_smile: At the same time the end user desperately needs glamorous presentations and this cannot be done without the CSS help. Thank you for the update!

Itā€™s tedious, I always need to look up how to do things; but if the meeting didnt happen then Iā€™d tackle it just to do it :wink:

Glad to have a great help for that though, so I love to ask for this help to see the results.

Weā€™ll get some good article to cover the voting application and also the proposal. Should be a fun next couple of weeks.

yah seems that the account that put 78million coins has 47 million leftā€¦ thatā€™s great, get them cheap if you can/feel like it.

clearly SEC is just a bagholding coin until we have something worth talking about. No hard feelings
