Not sure if my coins are in the right wallet

Hi guys,

I don’t have time to read all the posts and Tweets, sorry. What is the easiest way to be sure my coins are in the right place with the latest wallet version ?

I’m not even sure what is the difference between SFT and SFX. If I had only this coin to manage, i would spend the extra time to read but i have other coins too, i can’t spend all my spare time checking if a coin has a new version of wallet or …That’s one advantage of bitcoin, since i bought them, they stayed on a fixed address on my Trezor, that’s it, nothing to do.

I have wallet version 0.0.7., is this the latest ?
Then on HOME screen, i see 0 balance, is this normal ?
If I click on Migrate button, i see 2 addresses, the first one is all zeros, then for the second one:
i see migrated balance 10’000 and in the migration table i see 10’000 SFT and 23.28 SFX.
DO I have to do anything ?

I’m not even sure what are these worth anymore.

I’m normally good with systems, but i just can’t imagine the average joe having to deal with this. Remember, it’s not the only coin, if they were all complicated like this…

sorry for the rant…

We all have a responsibility to keep on top of the progress and developments with things we invest in. This is especially the case with alt-coins.

From what you’ve described, it looks like you’ve already migrated your old Safex over to the new blockchain. If you’re not going to move them, you can keep them in the the state that they are now. When you migrated you will have been given a set of private keys which relate to your address on the new blockchain. We will be releasing an updated wallet in the coming weeks which will help you move those coins if needed.

Alternatively, we have a standalone wallet that is specifically for the new blockchain. So if you still have those keys you can import them in.

As part of the overall Safex project, we needed to operate on our own blockchain to build the functionality that a marketplace would require. This has always been part of the plan since the early days.

We’ve had over 3000 wallets migrated over so far. Some have required help, and others have done the research.

thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the rant.

When you write:
“When you migrated you will have been given a set of private keys which relate to your address on the new blockchain. We will be releasing an updated wallet in the coming weeks which will help you move those coins if needed.”

I’ve got a .dat file dated November 8th 2018, that seems to be around the time I migrated my old Safex. In it I can see the same Public Address that I see in my current wallet and below there is a Spendkey pub:, Viewkey pub: and 2 sec: addresses. Are these the 2 sets of private keys you are refering to ?

But then not sure why I would need to move my coins to another place/wallet, sorry.
